An In-Person Poetry Workshop

As part of the Write ME project, poet Samaa Abdurraqib will lead a free epistolary poetry workshop. Please register by clicking on the button below.

Samaa’s workshop is titled "Letter to Conjure Our Dead and Our Make-Believe” and she writes, “In this workshop, we will write epistolary poems honoring our ancestors and dead heroes—both real and fictional—exploring both ritual and humor in our writing. We will read poems by Lucille Clifton, Nicky Beers, and Marcus Wicker.”

Samaa Abdurraqib is a poet, a non-profit leader, and a certified Maine Master Naturalist. Her most recent chapbook, Towards a Retreat will be published by Diode Editions in 2025.
